In the “Search Contents” API, we need to mandatorily pass information to the “QUERY” parameter in the Search content API. This “QUERY” parameter will be used to “search against” only those files that contain this value when performing the search.

We don't have any unqiue field that is present in all our files. However, we have one parent folder in which all our files reside. Is not possible to mention the 'folder' as the scope for the search?

You can limit the scope of a search to a specific set of folders by using the ancestor_folder_ids parameter. But you would still need to provide a search string for the query parameter.

Hi Murtza,

Thanks for your response. Although we can use "ancestor_folder_id", we don't have a unqiue value/parameter that will be present in all the files so that the files are recognized as part of the 'search string' for the QUERY parameter.

Henceforth, even though we use "ancestor_folder_id", we don't know what value can be provided for the QUERY parameter as a search string.

I think we are only left with 'eneterprise events' option.
