Salesforce Integration Question

It is unclear to me whether every Salesforce user VIEWING files on Salesforce - as in, for example an invoice PDF attached to an invoice record - would need a Box seat? Or if somebody uploads a PDF via a supplier community?

Hi @FT_SD

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to answer your query regarding Box integration with Salesforce.

To answer your question, the Box for Salesforce integration embeds Box content directly into Salesforce records (using the Box UI Elements/widget). When a Salesforce user views a Box-stored file (like an invoice PDF) within Salesforce, the integration authenticates that user against Box.

Every Salesforce user who needs to view, preview, or access files stored in Box via the Salesforce integration must have a Box seat (license).

For more information, you can visit Installing Box For Salesforce.

Hope it answers your question!
