Dear Sir/Madam,

Is there a way to confine the access of a link sent by email to the owner of the email address only (outside my organization)?

In other words, I would like to avoid having the document freely circulating. I want targerted access only.

Kind regards,

Ziad

Hi Ziad,

Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

You may invite the user outside of your organization as a collaborator on the content you wish to share, you can grant them with permissions to control the actions they can take on the item you shared. By inviting this external account as a collaborator, you would have the option to limit who can access the shared link and set it to "Invited people" only.

To learn more about about inviting collaborators, please take a look at this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696854-Inviting-Collaborators

Thanks for reaching out and let us know how else we can help!

All the Best,

Thank you.

Do I have to pay subscription fees on collaborators who don't have a box account?

Also, is there a way to limit viewers to invited ones only without them having to create a box account?

Ziad

Hi Ziad,

Inviting users to collaborate in Box would require the users to create a Box account, so unfortunately no.

You can however encourage your collaborators to create an account via this page and they have the option to sign up for an individual account at no cost, a Free account.

Hope this helps!
