How can I remove my community account/profile?

👋 Hi ​@TallMan, thank you for reaching out and for detailing the issue you’re experiencing.


To help address this, we now have a dedicated process for handling Community profile removals.


Please send an email to community-manager@box.com to formally request deletion of your Community profile. Be sure to send the request from the email address associated with the profile you want removed, as this allows us to verify ownership and process the request securely.


Once a profile is deleted, it cannot be recovered. However, you’re welcome to register again as a new Community member using either the same email linked to your Box account or the preferred email associated with your enterprise account.


We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this for you.

👋 Hi ​there, we're sorry to see you go, but we understand you'd like to remove your community profile.

 

Please note that our community sign-up process works with Single Sign-On (SSO), and account removal can only be handled internally by community admins. Before we proceed, we’d like to remind you that once your account is removed, you’ll no longer be able to post questions, reply to threads, or engage in any activities that require a login. However, you’ll still be able to view public posts and search for relevant content as a guest within the Box Community.

 

Could you please confirm if you'd like us to proceed with removing your account from the Box Community?

This is to confirm that your community profile has been successfully removed from our system. While the topics or comments you’ve posted will remain, they will be anonymized.


Please note that we are unable to recover your account. However, you are welcome to register as a new community member using the same email linked to Box in the future. Additionally, this change only affects your community profile and does not impact your Box account in any way.

I also would like to remove my Community account.  It seems to be interfering with my enterprise account.  My Community account is “TallMan” and has (so far) only 1 activity logged.

 

My enterprise account has no activity logged in Community because the account above always supersedes when I attempt to go to community.
