Hello, my organization has a box.com paid account but local IT have not been able to address a recent problem: I unfortunately I set my app running in macOS Mojave to auto-update and received a message in the morning that the extension failed to load and to quit. I tried to reinstall after restarting but same problem. I then uninstalled Box Drive using the script from Box.com site: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196293-Uninstalling-Box-Drive. And then tried to reinstall after starting but same problem. I did uncheck system extension but that didn't help. Some offending system file must be hanging around after the uninstall, so any advice appreciated.
Rather disappointing that this occurred with an auto-update.
thanks
9/23/20 Strangely, I don't see a reply button to reply to post on 9/23/20 by person below so here is the answer that I rec'd from Box Support: "
Boot your device into Recovery Mode following this article, https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201314.
Then run the following command in Terminal,
chflags restricted "/Volumes/Macintosh HD/private/var/db/KernelExtensionManagement"
Note: You may need to replace Macintosh HD if you have a different drive name.
After running the above command, restart your machine and launch Box Drive. "
I became weary of dealing with this so uninstalled Box Drive and removed anything related to it on my Mac. I then installed Box Sync (which is eventually going to replaced by Box Drive) and box sync app works fine for me
