How do I protect a file/folder in box.com so that the file/folder can be only read, but cannot be downloaded or otherwise manipulated? I want to give a controlled access to people to read a file, but I want them only to read it, not download it or not write into it or other manipulation operations on the folder/file . Thanks , Klara

Welcome to Box Community and glad to help!
Why not create a shared link in order to grant a read-only access to your Box file/folder? Doing so will prevent your recipients from editing/downloading your Box file/folder.
The latter may be available in shared links but you need to manually set the settings for it to be available for your recipients.
