python sdk - more than 15 seconds to retrieve folder content (~2000 items)

That number does seem abnormally high. Since there are a lot of factors that contribute to response time it's hard to say what the issue may be, whether it's on your end or ours. This would require further investigation by our support team. If you'd like to proceed down that route please log into a paid Box account and open a ticket! Some helpful information to include to kick off the ticket would be: 

• Folder ID and an example date/time/timezone this occurred
• Are you seeing a high response time on other folders? Do you have other folder with less and more items you can test with?
• Are you able to test on another network? 
• Has this always been an issue?

Sorry, I don't have a paid box account.

Datetime: 16.36.56 UTC, 2021/05/10
Folders with less than 100 files take some hundreds of milliseconds. However I don't have other big folders to try.
I tried with another network but obtained the same result.
I've only recently started playing with box APIs, so I don't know if this was an issue in the past

I wouldn't call 2000 abnormally high.  I have folders with 100,000s files.
