Python SDK get_shared_item returning 404

Hi,

 

I am just starting out with the Box API, and am having an issue accessing a shared folder. The only way I can actually see a shared folder is if I make the link accessible by everyone with the link. My app is running off of a service account at my institution, but if I say that it is only accessible to those in my institution, I get that 404 again. I am using the JWT auth method. Is this just some configuration setting on the service account creation? Or is an app for some reason not considered 'in the institution'?

     I tested myself and can confirm that this is the current behavior of the API — both App Users and Service Accounts cannot view a shared link with its access level set to company-only even though the application they belong to is authorized into the enterprise.  I've filed a ticket internally to track this issue and get it fixed in the API.
