When inviting a collaborator using their email address, my request fails and I receive the error message stating URL addresses aren't accepted. I am using a legitimate email address and not a URL. I have used collaborator invitations successfully in other cases. Why am I getting this message and how do I resolve it?

Problems with Collaborator Invites

This error message would pop up if you were putting in characters with periods in them which would get interpreted as URLs in the "Message" field when sending a collaboration invite. When sending a collaboration invite, please be advised that:
- The message field does not permit URLs.
- The message field does not permit email addresses.
So example "03.and" will break the sharing, you want to make sure to put space between the character and the period.
