Apologies if this has been discussed before but I am new to Box and have discovered a problem which may make it unsuitable for my needs.

When I try to copy photographs to a Box folder, it seems unable to copy all of the photograph properties - in particular the date and time taken which are very important for my purposes.

I am transferring the photos using drag and drop in file explorer, but it also happens when I try to save the photo direct from an email to Box.

Am I doing something wrong or is this something that needs reporting to the developers?  I am using the free personal version of Box if that makes a difference.

    Welcome to the Box Community!

    To clarify, when you say "the date and time taken" are you pertaining to the created timestamp of your photographs?

    The timestamps which you see in the properties of a file may or may not be preserved depending on the file upload method and protocol as described in the table in this article: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043693974-Understanding-Box-File-Timestamps#whatisit 

    If you are using Box Drive, "created timestamp" will not be preserved when you upload your files to your Box folder so this seems to be expected behavior.

    Based of the table, you may use FTP or Box Sync which seem to preserve created timestamp of files uploaded to Box.
