Password protected files won't open - although I created the password!

I created account - created password - received and downloaded docs - went to open and now docs won't accept password i created to open.

    Welcome to the Box Community, I'm happy to help!

    There seems to be a confusion here with the password that you create upon signing up for a Box account and the password of a document someone shared to you to access. 

    Have you carefully checked the email they sent you about the Shared document if they've provided a password on the message? If not, you would have to reach out to the person who shared you those documents for the correct password to access them.
