Password Issue

I access my box account by using my gmail creditials.  So I did not set up a specific password for the box account.  I'm trying to vew files now, but box is stating that I need to update my password because it is not strong enough.  However, I can't update the password because I'm not sure what it is using as my current password.  Since it is accessed through Google, is it asking for my Google password? If so, if I update the password on Box, is it changing my Google password too?   I'm super frustrated with this platform but I have to use it for a client.
