Open files in new tabs

I'm the new ED of a nonprofit that has been using Box for years, so there are thousands of files in the system that I need to work my way through. Some files automatically open in a new tab and others don't. I am not downloading anything at this point--I am only looking through files. How do I make every file open in a new tab so I can easily have multiple tabs open and also easily return to the main Box menu for my org without backing out of each file individually? Right click, the obvious choice, does not give me an "open in a new tab" option.

100% agree. This is the most annoying thing about Box. Please don't have me click a file, then open it, then go back to Box, click Close, then click the X to go back to box, then click on the new tab to see the file I'm editing. It's absolutely ridiculous!

Still not solved :( I, too, hate this about Box!

Having the same issue. Files do not open in new tabs. Very annoying.

Press the control button (or command button for Macs) on your keyboard and click on the file or folder you want to open in a new browser tab. Game changer.
