One of my box foler is missing (N1 Rotor Lock Disc Kaizen_w42 2025)

I am missing several folders and many files from my Box account.

Welcome to Box Community, and we’d love to help find your missing folder! 

Is the missing folder an owned or collaborated folder? If it’s the latter, you have to reach out to the folder owner and report this incident.

(2) things that would make a folder disappear: 

1. If it’s an owned folder, it may have been deleted. As the owner or person who deleted the folder, both users could easily locate the deleted folder through trash and restore.
2. If it’s a collaborated folder, either the your access has been removed or the collaboration has expired.

Once you confirmed that the folder was deleted, here’s what you can do to restore it: 

The steps below apply whether you’re selecting from search results or from all Trash items.

1. Hover to highlight the row of the item you want. The More Options ellipsis (…) displays.
2. Click the ellipsis (...).  Then: 

• To return the item to its original location in Box, click Restore.

3. At the prompt, click Okay.

One of my folders has disappeared from Box. I can’t find it in Box Drive or when I log in to my Box account in my browser. How do I restore it without admin access?

First, you must determine if the folder you’re looking for is an owned or just a collaborated folder.  

• For the owner and your folder is missing, please check out your trash. 
• Meanwhile, collaborators must reach out to the owner and report that the folder is missing in your end.

For collaborators, if your access was removed please have the owner to re-invite you to the folder.

Thank you for your reply. The missing files and folders were not deleted by myself or others and none of the files or folders were collaborated items.

I don’t see any kind of way to access any kind of file & folder activity history for my missing files & directories to see what could be the cause of the missing items.
