This has been a problem for years, but now that I need to work on files offline, Box is no longer my default application.
It doesn't matter how many times I install and uninstall Box Sync. The application DOES NOT ALLOW ME TO SEE MARKED OFFLINE FOLDERS IF I AM OFFLINE and have no internet connection.
Even if I specify the folders I want to use offline, when I exit the app, the whole box folder DISAPPEARS.
It seems that with the application not running, the Box folder is not mounted and I don't even know where I can find it on my PC.
The PC is a brand new Surface pro 9 and Box is the only thing that still doesn't work.
There is NO WAY to get help or support and there is no online guide to resolve this issue.
Box has become useless.

Hi there,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!

Can we begin with your current Operating System and your Box version?

We'd love to further assist!

Windows 11 Pro 23H2  OS build 22631.3593

Hello.

Any news?

excellent service as always from box.

and you wonder why I am using other cloud services....

Why are you exiting the Box Drive app?

It does not matter in my case.

If I exit the app or leave it on, as soon as the Internet connection drops, the offline files are not recoverable, like the others in the cloud sync. The file name is there, but if I open it it gives me an "error".

The files become available again once internet connection is re-established.

And, as I wrote above, very often the Box folder simply disappears. Well, I've had enough of the box drive service.

I am satisfied with other competitors who work offline without problems.

Okay, am happy you found a workable alternative!
