Obtaining BOX Shared Link From Excel File

Although I know how to right click on the Excel file location to get the Box shared link,  is there a way to do it with the Excel file open? Whenever I click on the Box logo within an Excel file, it asks me to "Enable Sharing this file", and then asks me to save my file again. It seems silly that I have to go to the file location to obtain the shared link when I know there should be a way to do it within the Excel file. Any help would be great!
