Not able to access to videos.

Hi, I have a question regarding video review.

A collaborator shared several videos with me for review. I am not able to download them to my computer, so I need to view them via streaming. I can access and play the videos through Box on the web browser without any issues.

However, when I try to open the same videos using the Box app on my MacBook, I receive a message saying that the file cannot be opened and that I do not have permission.

Is there a way to enable viewing these videos through the Box app on my MacBook?

I just have a few questions regarding your Box Preview error and please bear with me: 

  • Could you confirm the Operating System running in your machine? 
  • What is the current version of your Box for desktop application?
  • Has it ever worked before? 
  • What is your collaboration access to the affected file? 
  • Could you download the affected file from the Box website and preview the file? How was it? Did you get the same error message?
