New Version is created every time I update the file

Hello,

At times, when I make changes to a file and save it e.g. excel or CAD file, Box saves the changes in the original file but also creates a new separate file with the changes, If make 30 changes to the same file and save it 30 times, it will create 30 separate files with the changes made each time.

How can I update the file and save the changes only in the file without creating separate files every time I  make a change and save.
