Need to be made a co-admin

Hi team,

Hope you’re well. I need to urgently add someone to the VDR, but the current admin is currently out of office and not back for 2 weeks. Could you please make me a co-admin so I can arrange access while she’s away?

Thanks,

Tumi

Hi @tumi

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to help modify your user role!

You are currently registered to free personal account. A personal user cannot be a Co-Admin because Co-Admin is a role for managed enterprise users, not personal accounts.

The key requirement in Granting-And-Modifying-Co-Admin-Permissions is that, to grant Co-Admin privileges, the user’s account must use an email address on a domain that has been verified by your enterprise. That means the user must be part of the enterprise’s managed-user population. A personal Box account typically uses an email/domain that is not verified and is not managed by the enterprise, so it does not qualify for the Co-Admin role.

Hope it provided you the information that you need. If not, please feel free to reply in the Community thread!
