Users that I am inviting presently use box.com for their domain as well. They are using paid licenses on their end when accepting to see what we are sharing to them. Is this a problem on their end or ours? How would I contact box.com to figure this out?

Hi @jgatlin,

Welcome to Box Community and glad to assist!

Collaborating with external users who already have their own paid Box accounts is completely seamless and does not cause any licensing issues or extra charges on either side.

When you invite external users to collaborate on content owned by your organization, Box designates them as External Collaborators. On enterprise plans (Business Plus, Enterprise, Enterprise Plus, and Enterprise Advanced), external collaboration is unlimited and does not consume your managed user seats.

When external collaborators accept the invitation and log in using their existing paid Box credentials, it does not consume an additional license or trigger extra billing for their enterprise.

Box follows a "policy follows content" framework. Your enterprise's security, permission levels, and access controls govern the shared content while they collaborate, without affecting their user account status within their own organization.

In short, both organizations can collaborate smoothly without any license conflicts or additional fees.
