I have a personal box folder without any collaborators. in the last few days first a few of the sub folders were showing up as empty and now the entire folder has dissappeared. On my windows explorer it still shows the folder but its completely empty. It is not in the trash either on my computer or box.com web client. These are very important business files and I need to have access to them immediately.

If the files were uploaded in box.com and it disappeared. Your owned contents that was deleted can be found in your trash/bin icon.
Here's how you can restore your contents from trash:
The steps below apply whether you’re selecting from search results or from all Trash items.
- Hover to highlight the row of the item you want. The More Options ellipsis (…) displays.
- Click the ellipsis (...). Then:

- To return the item to its original location in Box, click Restore.
- At the prompt, click Okay.
