The box I used over 20 years, unfortunately the email linked with the box was hacked, so if the hacker know I have a box, they can use forgot password function to get my login password。 Recently I can still access my box, so I delete all my files, and create another box by my new email. I would like to ask how can I detach my old box with thr old email? my new email is <personal information redacted>, thank you.

You could either change your email account's password or change your Box account's primary email address.
To change your email address, you should start by adding a new email.
- Login to box.com and navigate to Account Settings.
- Scroll down to Add a Collaborator or Link Personal Email > Link Personal Email.
- Once a pop-up window appears, select Link Personal Email and enter a valid email address .
- Click Save.
An email verification will be sent to the address you entered. Click the verification link in the email to confirm and add the alternate email to you account.
To make a secondary email address your primary email address:
- Click Make Primary next to the email address you want as your primary email address.
