I have multiple box accounts — one for home and another for work. I would like to have both of them sync to my various computers, to different directories, named perhaps 'box home' and 'box work'. Is there any way to do this? Right now it looks like my home box account became worthless the minute my work adopted box.

Unfortunately, this is not support and you can only install one Box desktop application into a computer.
If you need to access both accounts on the same computer, you can login to one account into Box.com using web browser and login to your Box desktop app using the other account.

Unfortunately, I store things like shared software libraries in the home account, so it needs desktop sync. I guess I'll have to switch to Dropbox.
Hard to believe this is still not an essential feature. We just decided to use box for team collab, and NOW I find out I can't switch Box accounts.... whaaaaat? Crazy. Makes sense to switch to Dropbox then.
Please can you look at having multiple account support asap. You are losing out to your competitors big time. At the very least, you should be able to support multiple accounts in one Windows profile and ideally, have the ability to support terminal services.
I just created a second Box account for my second company in the belief that having multiple accounts in the Windows client is a no brainer.
Please add this basic functionality as soon as possible.
