Mismatch in number of files listed

Hi
I am trying to find out the source of truth for the number of files I have in a shared folder.
I am using a macbook.
If I use the find command in my terminal on the Box-Box shared mount point i.e
/Library/CloudStorage/Box-Box
I consistently get a value of 1,656,001. From the Box GUI it says 1,745,856 and from the box csv report it is 1,779,637.
I think I am hitting a limit using the find command. Is this the case? and what is the best way to determine which is the correct value?
