Metadata Templates Available for Images but not Video

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re here to help apply metadata on your video files! 

In Box, you are fully able to apply metadata templates to both images and videos. There is no platform limitation restricting metadata templates to images only.

If you are experiencing issues applying metadata templates specifically to video files, could you answer the following? 

1. What permission do you have in the video file? 
2. Is the video file owned by a collborator outside your organization?

To apply a template manually in the Box Web Application, simply click on the video file, open the details sidebar on the right-hand side, click Add next to the Metadata section, and select your desired template
