Metadata against folder

Hey forum.

 

I was excited to hear that METADATA could be applied againt items. 2 Questions come up. 

 

1) Is the METADATA api feature on Enterprise or is it all API enpoints?

2) Can it be applied against a Folder ?

    Hello ,

     

    Metadata is only available at Business Plus, Enterprise and Elite accounts (https://community.box.com/t5/Managing-Your-Content/Metadata-Tutorial/ta-p/352).

     

    Metadata can be applied via API to Folders and documents but on the UI is it only seen metadata assignetd to Files, not to Folders.

    If I need to start a start a separate question, I am happy to do so.

     

    We are porting our Dropbox app for CRM's to Box. I have created a BOX App and I was curious about the following.

     

    Will our app work with the same API endpoints available at Business Plus, Enterprise and Elite accounts.

     

    In other words, do I need to write separate code to have separate endpoints ?

    Hello ,

     

    I would say that the API is unique for all the accounts. I work with a free / developer account and also in an enterprise one. I have not tested thoroughly everything but I would say that are identical.

     

    Maybe somebody else can confirm that with some specific evidence or maybe somebody from box side can do.
