Merging duplicate files and maintaining working shared links

Does Box have functionality to "merge" duplicate files while maintaining the shared links pointed at each file? Here's an illustrative example:

File A with Link X is stored in Location 1

File B with Link Y is stored in Location 2

File A and B are actually identical and it isn't discovered until they're supposed to be moved into Location 3

Moving File A from Location 1 to Location 3 puts it in the right place while maintaining Link X. However, File B should not also be moved to Location 3 since there would be duplicate version issues

Is there a way to have File B's Link Y point to File A in Location 3 while deleting File B itself from Location 2?

Thanks France. For anyone viewing this thread in the future, Box Support confirmed that combining files and shared links per my illustrative example is not possible at this time.
