I’m trying to create a new document library in Box to hold documents relating to customers.
Folder structure is very simple: Parent folder > a folder for each customer, and then files are stored in the appropriate customer folder.
I want to do force users to enter metadata (document type, customer account number) when they upload a file. I’ve created a template, and applied it to the folder, and I can see that files acquire this template when they are uploaded. But there’s no prompt or opportunity to enter the metadata values when a document is uploaded. How can I make it mandatory to enter the metadata on upload?
(I can do it by creating a File Request, but I’d have to have a File Request for each customer folder, and that’s not practical.)
