I opened box this morning after some time not using it ... to find all my files missing and a 'welcome to box' message. I am not a new user. What is going on? Where are my files?

To confirm, are the missing files/ folders in your account owned by you or were they shared to you and owned by another user?
If those are owned by another user, I'd recommend to reach out to the owner or the person who shared them to you to see if they've removed your access to the missing content.

Yes, the files were in my account owned by me. They are not in the trash. They have vanished.

They were all there a year ago or so. Now everything is GONE!! Vanished.
