Please someone help, I had a BOX file shared with me and the owner of the file left our company and now I do not have access to our important files. Is there a way to get those files back? They would no longer have access to the work email associated with the account either. Please someone help.

I understand that you're looking for a way to take ownership of the folder owned by a different user. Note that only the owner who can initiate the transfer.
I'm afraid you still need to reach out to its current owner to transfer the folder ownership.

I am unable to contact the owner of the file because they no longer have access to that email associated with the account... This is my dilemma. They cannot get in themselves because they do not work for the company any longer. Therefore none of the other collaborators can get in either.
