Lost Box Sync Files

I didn't realize that changing the name of Box Sync on my Mac would remove it from my Finder. Now I have lost access to all of my files from Box Sync. 

I discovered that Box Sync is out of date and I am willing to transition to Box Drive, but I have lost all access to my previous Box Sync files. 

HELP! Thank you.

I have installed Box Drive and uninstalled Box Sync but I have lost all my files from my Box Sync on my Mac. Is there anyway to retrieve these folders and files?

I had first tried to rename Box Sync on my Mac's Finder Favorites Navigation, and that is when I lost all my folders and files. For instance, I had a folder called Covid and several others with many files. Can someone help me restore them?

Hi there, 

If Box Drive has been installed, all the files the you have on your Box account will be automatically sync in Box Drive. Your data is still save on your Box account on the web app.

I had many folders and files in Box Sync for which I do not have any backup and I really need them back. Can someone help?

Something unusual happened in the process. I first tried to rename the Box Sync app in the Finder, and that is when I lost access to all my files. I may have actually had more than one Box Sync account because I noticed completely different files when I used my old Gmail account from what I had access to on my MacBook. 

I'm not sure if changing my email address recently also affected this, but I have lost ALL my files from my previous Box Sync app. Please help. I had lots of files and folders.
