Lost Authenticator App

Need to setup authenticator app on new phone. I'm in my account now. Deleted authenticator app under 2 step verification. Got an email that it was turned off. Selected phone SMS as a method and it kicked back saying my phone number is invalid. I selected email method and it kicked back saying my email is invalid. Selected authenticator app and it won't generate a new QR code. If I hit reload on the webpage, it shows that I have an authenticator app and have to go through the steps of deleting again.
