Lost a Years Worth of Data

Hi there. I have the box app on my MacBook desktop and I use the Chrome website version and as of yesterday all my files are gone from both. My Hevans folder is there but it has the red exclamation point and all files and folders within have disappeared. I have tried troubleshooting on my own with no luck. Please advise how I retrieve these lost files and folders.

Have you tried to check on your files/ folders in Trash in Box.com and see if the missing items are in there? This article might help on how to manage your Trash: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360044196093-Managing-Trash 

Also, are these contents you own or are these owned by someone else and was previously shared to you? If these items are owned by someone else, can you check with the owner if you are still collaborating on these contents.

There is nothing in my trash and all items were owned by me. It's as if my personal Hevans folder, which had all my other folders within, was completely wiped overnight.
