Login Linked to Deactivated School Account

My personal email address is currently linked to a different, old school-managed Box account that I no longer have access to. My previous school account has been deactivated and I'm unable to log in or recover it.

I'd like to either:
1. Have my email disassociated from the old managed account so I can create a new personal Box account, or
2. Have the old account deleted so I can re-register with the same email.

I'm happy to verify ownership of the email address however you need.

Could you please help me resolve this? Thank you for your time.

Welcome to Box Community, and we’re glad to assist! 

 

Currently, we’re unable to dissociate your email address from the school-managed Box account. Instead, here are our recommendations to possibly access your old Box account or retrieve your email account. 

 

  1. Is the school-managed Box account still operational, or it’s already deactivated too? You must reach out to the Box Administrator of the school-managed Box account to dissociate your email from their Box account. 
  2. Remember, your school-managed Box account has the visibility to your account with them. They could either dissociate your email from the existing Box account or permanently delete it.
