Hello,

We have built a simple box app that uses OAuth for authentication. We have SSO setup on our enterprise, so if I try to generate a new token for myself SSO logs me in without prompting for my credentials.

 

I need to now generate the auth code for a box service account, but i am not able to login on that account as it never provides a login page, and I cannot use sso as its not a windows account.

Is there a way to generate an authcode (first leg of oauth) without logging into box? Or any other suggestions..

     To use a Box service account, you have to use JWT authentication. Using a service account and JWT authentication will not require you to log into Box. Your application will generate an access token by authenticating with the application's credentials (client id, client secret, public/private key pair) and your enterprise id.
