I created a Box account through a Google email, everything was fine up to that point, but when I downloaded Box Drive and tried to open my account it presented problems, it entered a type of loop, where "LOG IN" appeared in the application, and then it sent me to the browser to complete the login process, but once I opened the account, the application remained on the same "LOG IN" screen, I have already deleted the application more than 3 times and it installed a previous version and nothing, what can I do?

Hi Christopher,

Welcome to Box Community!

I suggest that you manually reset Box Drive, follow the steps below:

To reset Box Drive on Windows

  1. Exit Box Drive (if it is running). If necessary, use Task Manager to end the Box.exe process.

  2. Ascertain whether any files exist in C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\unsyncedFiles. These are files that have not been uploaded to Box. If these files do exist, and if you want to keep them, copy them to any location outside of C:\users\[username]\AppData\Local\Box\Box\ (such as your desktop). Proceeding with the steps below deletes these files.

  • You may need to show hidden folders to see \AppData.

Delete this folder: C:\users\sUSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Box\Box.
From RegEdit, delete the registry entries under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Box/Box to clear Box preferences.
Restart the Box Drive and follow the prompt to log back in.

Mac instructions can be found here:

Hopefully this will resolve the problem. Let me know how it goes!

I have the same problem. I've tried following the reset instructions above (twice). I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the box app. I am still stuck in the login loop.
