Link expiration / timeout

Hello,

is there some default timeout set for actual download links (ie the links redirects that are created when user wants to download some file)? I have report from users with slow connection that they are not able to download large files as they are getting dropped from Box after aprox 8 hours so I would like to understand the behavior - if this is hard coded timeout we need to split large files to smaller chunks.
