Hi,

How do you limit the number of backups in your box account?  I am finding the backups are taking a lot of my Box Space.  On my PC it is 8.29 GB but on Box it is taking up 89.0 GB.  So, I presume the number of backups is causing the excessive usage problem...

Thanks,

Your account admin can modify the File Version Limit setting in the Admin Console under Enterprise Settings > Custom Setup tab.

Hi David,

I am not sure how that would work using a Personal Pro account as we use an Enterprise account. Maybe France can advise?

Hi David,

Welcome to the Box Community!

As a Personal Pro user you are allowed of up to 10 Versions of your File version history as stated on the article Hank shared to us here and there is no way to limit this any further base on your type of account.

I'm opening a ticket for you with our support for them to check if this could be an issue with Data inaccuracies. They can ran a script that will recount all of the files and how much storage is being used in your account. Sometimes Box caches previous file counts and storage amounts causing a data inconsistency.

You should be receiving an email confirmation shortly.
