Latex pdf files pile up with each typesetting

Recently (for a couple of weeks, days) when I edit fies in Latex on Box, every new compile (or typeset command) creates the appropriate pdf file for viewing, but it also creates another copy of the almost same ever changing pdf file.

After an hour of writing/editing a paper I might have 30 copies of the same pdf file in my Box account.

How can I stop this? Other than deleting those ...(my email #).pdf files by hand. 

On my laptop, Latex does not do this at all; there is just one pdf file, the most recent one on the laptop.

So it seems to be a Box problem
