Kernel Extension whitelisting via MDM no longer works on Big Sur. Using the appropriate TeamID of M683GB7CPW and bundle identifier for com.box.filesystems.osxfuse no longer has any effect on Big Sur and still requires the user to approve it in System Preferences under Security.

exactly the same issue. Whiltelisting no longer works and Box Drive doesn't prompt the user to approve the extension in System Preferences (i.e. no pending requests present in System Preferences > Privacy and Security). Uninstall and re-installation does not help, and neither does a full TCC reset.

Same here.

Would love some guidance from Box and updated documentation for System Administrators to deal handle the change from KEXTS to system extensions in https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/360043696254-Large-Scale-Deployments-Box-Drive.

Note, this approval generally requires local users to have administrator privileges as well which isn't possible for most environments.

For others finding this comment, there's some good discussion in the Jamf MDM community around this - https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/37303/approved-kernel-extensions-on-big-sur

The Google Drive community is also facing the same pains at the moment - https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/37556/google-drive-file-stream-system-extension-on-big-sur
