I used Box at work with no issues. I started using at home (personal account) for a project and keep having to install Box tools in order to edit my Excel file.

Do you have one of those applications that restores back the device to the saved configuration? This might be causing it as this is definitely not the expected behavior.

I am not aware of any application that would keep restoring my laptop back to a saved configuration. I will submit a ticket. I just filed a support ticket.
I am having the same problem (business account). I have to reinstall the tools every time I reboot my computer.
