...flabbergasted there is no Box Drive support.  And it is apparently months away?  How on earth could this happen?  The M1 computers have been in development for years.

And I agree, the browser-based version is no substitute.

Box...don't bother sending me another one of your "How are we doing?" survey emails.  You won't like my response.

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to the Box Community!

We'd like to give you a quick update on Box support on Apple's new devices using M1 chips.

Box Tools is now supported on the new M1 Processor. You can find the announcement here: https://support.box.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500000564381-M1-support-for-Box-Tools

For Box Desktop apps like Box Drive, we are targeting beta testing our support for Apple Silicon devices soon so rest assured that our team is working diligently for a fix in a future release so please look forward to it.

In the meantime, you can access your Box content on Apple Silicon devices via the Box web application by logging into app.box.com/login.

Thanks for your continued patience and participation in the community!

Best,

Box Tools as of today requires Rosetta. That is not arm64/Apple Silicon support.

Box Tools is not in any way an adequate substitute for Box Drive.  Again, I'm simply gob-smacked that you can't even provide a delivery date for M1 support.
