can item (file/folder) that is under some user be owned by another one?

If I'm iterating over files of some user, is it guaranteed that the OwnedBy field will be the same user?

In what cases might it contain another user?

When I created file under one user A and shared it with user B. when I iterated user B files - the owner of the shared file was user B. So can I be sure that when I'm iterating over items of some user the owner field will always be that exact user?

Thanks

Benny

A file/folder should only have one person who can be the owner or `owned_by`. Collaborator permissions support co-owners who can have the equivalent permissions to a file/folder owner, but this won't alter the `owned_by` field.

so for file that is shared between few users  - each user is the owner of its own "copy" of the file?

No, not quite. I created a diagram illustrating the flow of permission sharing/ownership
