Issues with Email Uploads?

Is anyone noticing a huge delay in email uploads? We utilize this feature for scanning so that scans land in users Box folders. Those scans are taking forever to upload and I just tested a direct email from myself about 15 minutes ago and the file still hasn’t landed.

Welcome to Box Community and sorry to hear about the delay you’re experiencing with upload through email. 

 

Note: 

Email upload is intended for manual and occasional transfers of small numbers of files from common web, Windows or macOS email clients. Also, the cumulative size of the message body and attachments (including signature) cannot exceed 50MB.

In the meantime, we would like to gather more information regarding your experience: 

  • Can we confirm the current size of your upload? 
  • Will it upload eventually or fail, any error message?
  • How many users are affected?
  • Did you try to switch networks? If so, how did it go?

Hi Rona, 

Uploads are less than 1MB. 

Upload will eventually go through after 10+ minutes

All users

Same behavior when switching networks

 

Running a message trace in our system shows the email as delivered almost immediatley after sending but it does not show up in box until 10-15 minutes later.
