Issues with Box Edit

As of this afternoon (December 17) my entire team lost access to Box Edit.  We are running MacOS. Even though it is installed and the extension is active in Safari, it is not working.  It has been uninstalled and a clean install done and extension reaactivated but when I try to open a file in Box, it gives me an error that it is not possible as Box Edit is not installed, even though it is.

I am having the same issue. I have three more users who are having the same issue. How can we solve this?

Hi ​@arp.1311, thank you for bringing this up.

 

It appears that Box Tools is not being detected in the Safari browser, which is causing it to be inoperable there. This issue has already been reported. We rolled back a recent release that looks to have fixed the issue.


If the issue persists, as a workaround, please access Box Tools using another browser such as Chrome or Edge.
