I once had ransomware on my computer and it uploaded to every cloud storage that was connected to that computer. The only thing that saved me was the 'history" button so I could go back to a working version of a file.
However, some cloud services of it only on a file by file level. Can I go back in history at an account level or folder level with box.com?

Yes, that is correct. Box' Version history is only applicable on Files level and there is no equivalent feature for Folders.
Version history is available to paying accounts and the number of prior file versions you can access corresponds to your Box account type. For more details, please see: Accessing Version history

Hi, I have the same question.
A file in a shared folder has mysteriously gone missing. We're not sure why. We clicked on the file link and all it says is " This shared file or folder link has been removed or is unavailable to you. Think it's a mistake? No worries: Just email the owner or get in touch with Box support. We're here to help."
The file doesn't look to be in the trash. No one in my team has moved it. So where could it be?
