iOS doc scans too large

I scanned a 1 page doc on my iPad using scan document feature and the resulting PDF was 5.5mb, much too large. When I use scanner pro the same 1 page doc is 350K and you have choices as to how large you want the file to be. Can the scans be smaller? I’m inclined not to use Box’s scanning due to this issue.

    Welcome to the Box Community! 
     
    I see that you share the same concern with other users regarding the file size of the scans. Our Product team is constantly looking for ways to improve Box based on user feedback and if you spend much time on this forum you'll see that users have a very wide range of requests which I believe the team collects.
     
    These include some they can reasonably deliver and some they have no control over.
