Hello.

I work on the virtualization, storage & backups team at the University of Chicago.  Our team provides box support.  We are tasked to assist with all box issues.  I am interested in account restorations, reporting and managing storage utilization.

Thanks.

Hi Thomas.  I would like to know the best way to merge accounts. We have had users register for box using their primary email.  I will receive a request to merge their account and I am unable to reshare external data.   Is there a way around this?

392602922993 would you like to chime in here? For  855712853 question on resharing external data. I think you recommended an approach to make a copy of the external data if it is static.  Thanks

Hi 855712853

Yes, for your use case, you can use the following work around.

1. You receive a folder "XYZ" from an external user where you do not have permission to add new collaborators.

2. Create a copy of the "XYZ" folder in your Box account as "XYZ-New"

3. Now you are the owner on "XYZ-New" and can add as many new collaborators on this folder as needed.

Hope that helps !
