This behavior occurs when there is a Google association with the account and you use the "Sign in with Google" flow when you are logging into Box normally.


Process for Resolution:


  1. Log into the Box.com web application (not Box Drive)

  2. Navigate to "Account Settings" by clicking your user icon in the top right corner

  3. Go to the "Integrations" tab

  4. Under the "Applications linked to your account", "Google" will be listed as one of the Applications. Press "Reset association" next to Google.

  5. Log into Box Drive again
