installing box drive on new desktop

Welcome to Box Community! We’ll be assisting you install Box Drive.

To successfully install Box Drive in your machine, let’s begin by confirming if you have met the prerequisites to install Box Drive. 

Mac

Prerequisites:

• Supported OS version
• HFS or HFS+ formatted hard drive
  • APFS formatted hard drives are supported with Box Drive v1.2.93+
• Box Sync is not installed

Recommended minimum system specifications:

Windows

Prerequisites:

• Supported OS version
• Universal CRT
• .NET Framework 4.8, or higher
• Box Sync is not installed

Recommended minimum system specifications:

• 1.6GHz dual core processor
• 4GB of RAM

Note
If your machine does not meet the recommended system specifications listed above, you may still be able to install and run Box Drive. However, you may encounter a degraded experience.

Get the latest Box Drive version here.

The PC is a new Windows 11 pc… i do not know where to find these specs. I have find out that i have the framework 4.8 at least and a supported OS version. the minimum specs are also no problem.

​@Rona Box  I am having this same issue trying to install the Box integration for Microsoft Office on Windows 11.  

Called runscript when not marked in progress’ and when i proceed i get the message ‘ called install finalize when no install in progress’ . I do not have an older version of box installed yet. So how can i fix this? Thanks
